China exported 19,902 metric tons of rare-earth ore, metals and compounds in the January to November period, up 52.9% when compared with the same period a year earlier, the Hong Kong-based China Customs Statistics Information Center said Saturday.
In line with weaker global demand, the value of the exports fell 37.6% in the same period to $510 million, the data showed.
China exported 2,302 metric tons of rare earth ore, metals and compounds in November, it said. CCS didn't give an on-year comparison.
Import and export data supplied by CCS can result in slightly different figures from official data, which are scheduled to be released by the General Administration of Customs on Monday.
