Israeli diamond company Dalumi Diamonds has won the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor's Leading Exporter Award for 2008. Dalumi Diamonds is now the third largest diamond company in Israel following Lev Leviev's LLD and Leo Schachter Diamonds after exporting $182 million worth of diamonds in 2008. This constitutes a rise of 7.1% compared to 2007. Dalumi Diamonds was the only diamond company in Israel to post a growth in exports in 2008.
Dalumi Diamonds has been a DTC sightholder since 1993. The company will receive the Leading Exporter Award in a special ceremony that will be held on December 7 at the Office of the President of the State of Israel Shimon Peres.
This is the second year in a row that a diamond company has won the Leading Exporter Award: Last year it was Yerushalmi Bros. Diamonds that won the prestigious award.
