Steel products prices have a trend, have been low owing to import coming from East European countries.
DE-bars from Poland, merchant bars from Italy, HRC & CRC from Russia are among the items that are helping in making the life of the local Mills quite tough.
Particularly the market of HRP seems to suffer more than others. Once again Poland, Czech, North Italy are pressing to sell as much as possible in Germany the only EU market still guaranteeing regular and lasting needs as well as (even more important) secured payment.
Despite the absence of Indian Mills , Chinese ones are said to be ready to apply heavy discount starting from Monday Feb 10th.
Already market rumors are indicating prices of USD 600 – 610 per tonne effective CFRFO for S355J2+N with chances to soon go below the 600 mark.
