South African Diamond Production Dropped by 53% in July

Statistics South Africa reports that local diamond production plummeted by 53% percent in July in comparison to the previous year. Nevertheless, total mineral production increased by 4.8% while gold production declined by 7.6%.
In comparison to June 2009, diamond production declined by 1.6% in July.
