Target of per capita patents achieved ahead of time

The Chinese invention patents in 2013 reached 825,000, increasing 26.3% year on year and ranking the first in the world continuously for 3 years, CCTV news reported on the 20th February.
The domestic patents are 144,000, the same amount with last year. The Patent Cooperation Convention in 15 provinces applying for the international patent is over 100. And twenty one out of thirty five technological aspects by the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) are from China and outstand significantly. By the end of 2013, the number of patents per ten thousand people is 4.02, achieving the target of 3.3 per thousand people in advance in the “12th five-year plan”.
Besides, the National Intellectual Property Office also released the 2013 patent ranking, among the top 10 regions ranks Beijing the first in stead of Guangdong Province. In addition, Huawei Technology Co. ranks the first in the company ranking.
