SGS will participate at the 2nd International PV Platform in Romania, hosted by international trade fair and conference organizer REECO. Held at the Expo Arad International, located at the triangular border between Romania, Hungary and Serbia, the event will be held from 9-11 April, 2014.
PV Platform event marks the first SGS appearance in Arad although SGS attended the 6th International Trade Fair and Conferences for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, a similar REECO & RENEXPO-organized event held in Bucharest in November 2013.
PV Trade Fair and Conference in Romania
Representatives from over 50 key industry players will introduce products and services for the photovoltaic sector at over 2,000 square meters of exhibition space. More than 2,000 visitors are expected over the 3-days fair and 120 participants will be welcomed to the parallel 2-day PV conference: „Changes & Risks", addressing photovoltaic topics such as project financing, the latest legislative trends, the development of multinational companies and a compact view of the Romanian PV market.

This incentive drove investment in photovoltaic up and Romania is now viewed as the next target country for starting photovoltaic projects.
Romania is focusing on increasing renewable energy capacity in order to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel resources and investment in the renewable sector is still developing. At the end of 2013, installed capacity was 2500 MW in wind farms and 1100 MW in solar technology. The Minister of Energy has announced his encouragement for investments in 2014 strengthening solar and photovoltaic, biomass and micro hydro projects.
