Taiwan-based solar wafer producer, Sino-American Silicon (SAS) reported January, 2014 sales of NT$1,834 million (US$60.6 million), down 10.31% in the previous quarter.

On a year-on-year basis sales, which include subsidiary GlobalWafers, increased almost 13%. Sales had been relatively flat since mid-2013.

The financial statement by the company does not provide insight into the reasons for the sales decline in January.
