Struggling lower-tier a-Si thin-film producer and BIPV developer, China Solar Energy Holdings has been forced to close its a-Si thin-film manufacturing plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China after the subsidiary was forced into bankruptcy.
The company also had accounting issues which meant stock trading had been previously halted. The company had reported 2013 annual revenue of around US$22.4 million, down from US$40.7 million in 2012.
According to a recent financial statement, China Solar Energy had a liquidation application issued by the Changzhou Intermediate People’s Court approved.
The company has been attempting to move further downstream providing thin-film technology to agricultural markets in China.
