Taiwan's stainless steel wire rod prices on rise

Taiwan's Yieh Hsing Enterprise and Walsin Lihwa Corporation have decided to hike stainless steel wire rod prices in May by TWD 7,000 per tonne for the domestic market to offset rising raw material costs.
Yieh United Steel Corporation, the largest integrated stainless steel mill in Southeast Asia, continues raising the prices on its products for May. The company announced the price will hike by TWD 6,500 per tonne on stainless steel 300 series for the domestic market.
Besides, Tang Eng Iron Works, one of the major stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, said the company will follow up with Yusco's step and rise its new offer prices for May.
