AMB China will be opening its doors for the fourth time from 13 to 15 October 2014. The metalworking industrial trade fair will be held in Nanjing, the capital city of the Jiangsu province.
In addition to the exhibition, AMB China will be organizing a comprehensive programme of accompanying events that will address current themes such as the search for qualified managers and skilled employees.
For example, the special show “Young People and Training” will focus on dual training opportunities in China and programmes for securing employee loyalty. There will also be matchmaking events with decision-makers from Chinese and European companies, as well events such as the mav Innovation Forum, which has made a name for itself in Germany as a networking platform for the metalworking industry and will be taking place in Nanjing for the first time.
“Around 20% of all companies active in China’s metalworking industry come from Jiangsu alone. Taking the neighboring provinces into consideration, such as Shanghai, Anhui and Zhejiang, then this figure is 40%,” explains Christoph Hoene, Head of Asian Affairs and thus also responsible for EMAG business in China.
EMAG has exhibited at AMB in Stuttgart for many years and has followed the recent progress made by the sister fair in China closely. The company will be taking part in the Nanjing event for the first time this year.
“For us, this trade fair presents an ideal opportunity to come into direct contact with our customers, above all the medium-sized, owner-managed companies from the automotive supply industry,” explains Hoene. “With ambitious plans for internationalisation, these companies make far greater investments in quality precision machinery than the state sector, however often lack the time to make the long journey to exhibitions in Beijing or Shanghai.”
In addition to EMAG, who will be presenting four lathes specially adapted for the Chinese market on 200 square metres of exhibition space, a number of Chinese and international manufacturers from the areas of chipping, forming, precision tools and automation technology will be attending the trade fair to showcase their products to a trade public.
Last year, AMB China saw a 25% increase in visitors to the event, with final figures reaching over 10,000. After Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy retroactively included AMB China in its international trade fair calendar for 2014 due to its significance for German foreign trade, organizers are now anticipating another boost in exhibitor and visitor figures.
