Global crude steel production in July up by 1.7pct YoY

World crude steel production for the 65 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 137 million tonnes in July 2014, an increase of 1.7% compared to July 2013.

The crude steel capacity utilisation ratio for the 65 countries in July 2014 was 75.4%. It is -1.2 percentage points lower than July 2013. Compared to June 2014, it is -2.9 percentage points lower.
