On October 27, product committee of CNCAA held the annual meeting in Wuhan, Hubei. This metting is also an important agendum of the industrial convention of information and technology.

The annual meeting is also a new election and more than 70 delegates attended. Deputy secretary-general Chen Yuandong hosted the meeting.

Former chairman Gao Bingyuan made a report and summarized the achievements in the past three years by the product committee. He pointed that the coated abrasive products at present face problems of many small sized enterprises, small scale, scattered distribution, weak R&D ability and poor self-restraint. Therefore, the product committee is established to solve those problems, help enterprises communicate and offer successful cases with technological service for a better development. Specifically, the committee is to protect members’ interests, regulate business, technology, criteria and information etc. in the industry; coordinate relatinships of CNCAA, member enterprises, manufaturers, factories and the whole industry. In the past three years, the committee organized visit to Yuli Co., Ltd., claimed compensation from the American Xiaodao Co. due to the poor product quality on behalf of many chinese enterprises in the industry, negotiated with Biko Meccanica Co. on automatic conversion equipment of coated abrasives, held news press on louver together with Dongguan Yuda Abrasives Technology Co., Ltd., accepted new members and held activities with the help of expert committee. It was mentioned that since the committee was founded not for long with not enough experience and abilities, activities held by the committee alone were not very much. Delegates suggested that the new committee unite and innovate to contribute more for the industry.

Deputy secretary-general Chen Yuandong introduced how the new committee was founded. The new committee was nominated by the Secretariat and arranged by the council and deliberated by the general council.

Under the guidance of chairman Gao Bo, delegates discussed how the new committee works more efficiently. They concentrated on the present problems in the industry and difficulties during the techonological innovation. Brand and quality stability are particularly emphasized in the meeting. Gao Bo and Gao Bingyuan shared their experience in running the coated abrasive products companies with others and delegates learned a lot.
