SHFE Aluminum Finishes with Gains as Short Sellers Exit

On Wednesday night, SHFE 1502 aluminum contract dipped to RMB 13,330/mt after starting at RMB 13,380/mt, and finished the night session at RMB 13,390/mt. Trading volumes totaled 27,294 lots, with positions up 1,086 lots to 140,920 lots.
On Thursday, the most active contract tracked LME aluminum up to RMB 13,505/mt, but fell back later to move between RMB 13,475-13,500/mt in the afternoon. Finally, the contract ended at RMB 13,470/mt. Trading volumes totaled 75,690 lots, with positions down 10,082 lots to 129,752 lots.
