China's statistics authority on Friday revised its 2013 GDP figure up by 3.4 percent, based on results from the latest economic census.
After the revision, China's GDP stood at 58.8019 trillion yuan ($9.61 trillion) for 2013, 1.92 trillion yuan more than previous estimate, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement on its website.
Added value of the tertiary industry, or the service sector, accounted for 46.9 percent of the 2013 GDP after the revision, while the primary and secondary industries took up 9.4 percent and 43.7 percent, respectively.
The upward revision will affect the size of China's 2014 GDP but will not affect the growth rate for this year, the bureau said.
The country's economic growth eased to 7.3 percent in the third quarter this year, down from 7.5 percent in the second quarter and the government has unveiled a slew of measures to boost growth.
