PROINSO, jointly with local NGOs and other organizations, has donated 3 kWp for the installation. Since it was launched in 2011, the PROINSO-led initiative Solar Energy Solidarity has developed several projects aimed at providing electricity to as many as 28,000 people who live in communities in Peru, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau and Thailand.
The Solar Energy Solidarity initiative, led by PROINSO, has delivered PV products to a project that will provide solar power to a village in Couffo, Benin. PROINSO materials have been installed to provide electricity to an anti-leprosy hospital.
The execution of a PV installation will cover the electricity needs of the zone, improving sanitary conditions and supporting community development. The project will help the hunger and child mortality reduction and will combat leprosy and other diseases.
Nearly 28,000 people to benefit from all projects
Adding this project in the Solar Energy Solidarity initiative nearly 28,000 people in Peru, Togo, Benin, Thailand, Guinea Bissau and Cameroon will be benefited.
These projects were carried out with NGOs, organizations, local governments and partners, with the aim of supplying energy to meet the power demands of underprivileged communities.
