Henan Key Laboratory of High-performance Superhard Material Products (short for Lab) was approved by Henan Department of Science and Technology on Dec 26, 2014. The Lab is organized by Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding Co., Ltd. with the support of Henan University of Technology, and it has made progress in lab construction, personnel training and academic research.

The Lab costs 20 million Yuan, owns 32 new facilities, and has 3 professional labs of New Technology Laboratory of Superhard Material Product, Test of Precision and Safety for Superhard Material Product Laboratory and Test of Application for Superhard Material Product Laboratory. The Lab initiated some basic theories and researches over construction, mainly focusing on design, manufacture, test and application of superhard material products. It has undertaken 50 items of projects (including 25 national items), obtained 8 technological awards and 23 patents, and has established 22 items of criteria and published 53 papers. The Lab is open to the whole industry with complete service for the sake of social and economic benefits and technological progress.
