The Research Sector at the Kuwait University (KU) will organize the second symposium on photovoltaic cell technologies on January 28 in collaboration with Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum.

The seminar is entitled "modern trends on photovoltaic cell technologies".

The symposium is part of the program of research cooperation between the KU and the Interuniversity Microelectronics Center (IMEC) in Belgium, with the participation of Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, KU's Research Sector said in a statement on Tuesday.

The seminar comes within the framework of an agreement inked by the KU and IMEC in 2012 on innovative silicon solar cell technologies, it said, noting that there is a scientific cooperation between some researchers from the KU and IMEC. (end) asa.tb.hm
