Mitsubishi Electric US’s photovoltaic division has introduced a new consumer solar finance program for its contractors.
The new program will give customers new avenues in order to purchase a solar electricity system, as well as help contractors increase their sales by giving consumers alternative methods to leases and power purchase agreements.
Gina Heng, vice president and general manager of Mitsubishi Electric US’s photovoltaic division, said: “Consumers who wish to install Mitsubishi Electric state-of-the-art photovoltaic modules now have the ability to finance their purchase, while our contractors can now offer more financial flexibility to their residential clientele. In order for contractors to fully leverage this new program, we want to ensure that they understand how it works and how it can benefit both them and their customers.”
In wake of this announcement, Mitsubishi Electric will organize a training session in late March to go through the program with contractors. All authorized Mitsubishi Electric PV contractors are invited to attend the showcase.
The program — which will be offered through a provider of residential solar finance — could potentially generate lower monthly payments than tradational leasing.
