The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFBD) has stated that press releases, mail-outs and reports are some of the measures that the Baselworld Watch and Jewelry Show has pledged to increase as part of promotion and advertising efforts for diamond exhibitors.
Retail Jeweller notes that the management of the Baselworld Watch and Jewelry Show has informed the WFBD that it will increase promotional efforts on behalf of the diamond companies that will be exhibiting at the renowned fair. The undertaking comes in the wake of a letter written by Avi Paz, President of the WFBD, requesting improved communication with diamond buyers.
The improved services are said to include press releases to the show’s database of worldwide journalists and media; a daily full page special report on diamond exhibitors and the diamond sector in the Baselworld Daily News magazine; mailings of the Baselworld Visitor Brochure to diamond buyers in Europe and the inclusion of positive diamond buyer feedback about the show in Baselworld’s Corporate Video 2010.
Paz expects the increased levels of promotion to increase the visibility of the diamond exhibitors at the fair. Retail Jeweller quotes the WFDB President: “We have also asked the show to enable companies to share booth space and to lower the costs in order to allow companies to continue their participation and presence at Baselworld.”
