Ansteel has finally been approved by West Australias environment authorities to set up a 50:50 joint venture with Gindalbie Metal in order to develop the Karara iron ore project, 225 km east of Geraldton port in the Midwest of West Australia. The project is expected to provide at least eight million tons of 68.2 percent grade iron ore for the mills Bayuquan Steel New Space from 2011.
