Saint Gobain Abrasives has added to its comprehensive collection of coated, bonded and superabrasives with the launch of a new range of speciality coated abrasives under its Norton brand.
The new range has been launched in response to the growing need for small grinding and blending abrasive shapes to meet the standards required by modern industry.
Containing the widest range of shapes, sizes and grains, the new range includes abrasives for general and specialist applications such as intricately shaped and contoured components or for high speed, accurate grinding.
The range also allows for the production of bespoke speciality abrasive production.
Robin Cook, European Product Manager at Saint Gobain Abrasives said: "We have seen demand for speciality abrasives increase by more than 50% in the last 12 months".
"Speciality coated abrasives are increasingly required by a variety of industries for more intricate finishing work".
"They can improve efficiency and overcome time consuming hand sanding operations and are particularly useful in difficult to reach areas".
"We can also develop custom made products to solve particularly taxing application problems in both production and maintenance environments giving us what we believe is the most comprehensive range of speciality abrasives available".
The range is aimed at industries such as MRO, aerospace, automotive, fabrication, food manufacturing and precision engineering and includes SpeedLok quick change discs, straight and tapered cartridge rolls, square and cross pads, bore polishers, sanding stars and spirabands.
