U.S. Steel's (X) USS-LIBERTY TC Installed Successfully

United States Steel Corp. 's X subsidiary - U.S. Steel Tubular Products - declared that the company's latest American-made premium connection, USS-LIBERTY TC, was successfully installed by Range Resources at the Range Resources Greaves 6H Unit well in West Alexander, PA.
The USS-LIBERTY TC is a new-generation premium casing connection pipe that is designed for the most challenging wells. The pipes are completely designed, tested and made in the U.S. Additionally, the product has been validated through comprehensive full-scale testing conducted under the most modern and rigorous industry testing standard - API RP 5C5: 2014 CAL IV.
USS-LIBERTY TC of U.S. Steel Tubular Products was a natural choice for Range Resources owing to its innovative design, including the patent TightFit thread form, along with other patent-pending features. Also, its unique, patent-pending features offer maximum design flexibility and can be rotated while cementing.
U.S. Steel stated that it is overwhelmed with the first successful application of USS-LIBERTY TC and anticipates bringing the product to more of its customers. Also, according to John K. Applegath, senior vice president - southern Marcellus shale at Range Resources, the company is ready to continue using the steel product for its shale gas operations.
