Shale Gas: Stakeholder Engagement – Winning the societal license to Operate will be presented at the Shale Gas Environmental Summit post conference workshop, taking place on the 28th October 2015 in London, UK.

This year’s Shale Gas Environmental Summit will include post conference workshop entitled: Shale Gas: Stakeholder Engagement – Winning the societal license to Operate, led by Mike Holgate, Energy Consultant, Associate, Aquatera.

This must attend workshop will be discussing the rocky road of stakeholder engagement, will help you know whom you need or don’t need to talk to and how best to work with them. It will also look at identifying the planning and operational issues associated with mitigating and monitoring environmental and social impacts. In addition, community benefits and facilitating sustainable investment, as well as engaging with external stakeholder and understanding their concerns, such as climate change will be discussed.

Our interactive workshop will help to understand the typical environmental and social issues associated with shale gas developments and ways to construct effective management plans. It will help attendees get started on the right foot through understanding the underlying issues, how to create successful stakeholder relationships and earn the trust to help you stay there.

These themes will also be a focus at this year’s Shale Gas Environmental Summit main conference including sessions on:

- Why are the public ultimately against fracking? How these problems could be mitigated?

- Why is it essential for public to be informed? What may the most effective ways of achieving public endorsement be?

- Why the UK needs exploratory drilling. Environmentally friendly approach to exploratory drilling, and much more.

Being such a highly topical subject, those who are interested in attending are advised to register before the 30th September 2015 to secure your place and benefit from the 100 discount.
