Christie's announced that it will put a pear-shaped 39-carat, D-color diamond under the hammer at its next New York sale on December 10.



The ‘Evening Star,’ from a private jewelry collection, comes from India's ancient Golconda diamond mines, and is estimated at $3,600,000-5,500,000, Christie’s said in a statement.
