Since early 2017, we have been undertaking the first series production of PolyLux automatic sunroofs for mobile homes and recreational vehicles: for instance, for Niesmann und Bischoff’s Smove. Other producers are at a planning stage to take on our innovative window systems as default production for their recreational vehicles. From summer 2017, end-customers will be able to buy these windows from the trade for professional installation, or directly from Polyplastic together with easy-to-follow instructions to install them themselves.
Polyplastic is bringing its rust-free sunroof onto the market in the most widely-used dimensions. Its exterior dimensions are 1850 mm (length) x 742 mm (width); its total height is 75 mm. The sectional dimensions for (supplementary) installation are 960 x 655 mm (vertical or horizontal), or 655 x 1200 mm, with a 2 mm tolerance in each case. The largest version measures 960 x 1200 mm. When installed, the roof thickness will be between 23 and 33 mm or between 33 and 38 mm, as applicable. The total weight of the smallest sunroof, including frame, is just 19.5 kg.
There is a range of options as regards glass quality. Our thermally-insulating acrylic glass is available in various tints, from automobile green glass to dark-tinted privacy protection. A particularly appealing option is the variant innovated in-house by Polyplastic: our completely shatter-proof Roxite IQ acrylic glass, which also makes vehicles resistant to hailstone damage. In addition, the sunroof can be coated with a special anti-scratch layer.
In the interior, a patented system in acrylic blend elegantly edges the window frames with indirect, individually-adjustable LED lighting. The sunroof can be operated either with a switch on the frame or by remote control, and in an emergency can also be opened manually.
