A two-day conference jointly held by CBI China and the Guangdong International Diamond Commerce Chamber in Hong Kong in October brought leading diamond industry players together to share their thoughts and experiences on the growing significance of the emerging Asian markets.



The conference - Asia Diamond Focus 2009 - ran under the theme “Explore Asia and join forces to win together.” It aimed to provide the latest information and trends in the Asian market as well as its potential for further growth to diamond producers, traders, retailers and other relevant service providers from around the world.



Other areas the conference covered included an analysis of the impact of the recession on the global diamond industrial chain; an examination of the prospects of the global diamond industry and breakthrough in the market; and an evaluation of the risks and opportunities in Asia.
