Baosteel signed on November 27 a long-term manganese ore procurement pact with Australias Mineral just two days after the mill became the second largest shareholder of Australias Aquila through an equity-buying deal. Mineral will supply the mill with manganese ore, an important ingredient in steel making, produced from Woody Woody and Peak Hill operations.
