MINNEAPOLIS-Bellcomb Technologies Inc., a leading manufacturer of honeycomb panels acquired Stonwurks, a division of M&G Designs Inc. of Sylvan Grove, Kans., last month.

Stonwurks offers stone products combining a wide variety of thin stone bonded to honeycomb for a number of markets including marine, transportation, and construction. Bellcomb is moving Stonwurks production to Minneapolis, along with its key employees.

The move allows Bellcomb Technologies the ability to offer customers a lightweight stone panel alternative to traditional stone products with in-hour production. In addition to offering custom lightweight stone products, Bellcomb is developing and will offer a series of standard products based on Stonwurks technology.

The acquisition builds on Bellcomb's expertise in developing and producing lightweight composite panels as well as enhancing the company's current 40 million ft² of annual panel product capability.
