According to Antwerp Facets, Forevermark by De Beers made more than $100 million in retail sales of the branded diamonds during the year since its launching.
Forevermark branded diamonds are sold at some 250 selected Authorized Forevermark Jewelers across Asia.
Stephen Lussier, CEO, Forevermark, noted: “The launch of Forevermark into China, Hong Kong and Japan has, despite the economic downturn, gathered strong momentum. Our partner jewelers have seen that Forevermark, with its unique promise of quality, integrity and inspiration, creates strong consumer interest, and this is even more relevant in these times of discerning luxury when consumers are taking more time in considering their luxury purchases.”
Forevermark launched proprietary diamond grading and inscription services from its state-of-the-art grading facilities in Antwerp.
Last year, the two largest Forevermark diamonds – the Ponahalo diamonds weighing 102.11 and 70.87 carats – were sold for $6.3 million at Christie’s New York Jewels Sale.
