China's Retail Sales up 15.8% in November

According to data released by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on December 11, China's retail sales rose 15.8% year-on-year to RMB1.1339t in November.
In order to cope with the global financial crisis, the government has adopted a series of measures to favor people's livelihood and promote consumption since the fourth quarter in 2008, which has stimulate the consumption potential of both urban and rural residents effectively.
In November, the urban retail sales rose 16.5% year-on-year to RMB760.6b, while those in counties and sub-county areas were up 14.4% to RMB373.3b.
