The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) and GE Money have launched a new relationship with the aim of providing consumer financing via the GE Money Luxury program. The revolving credit card is being offered through AGTA retail members.
Regina Leadem, VP of Sales at GE Money – Sales Finance, noted: "The American gem Trade Association is a leader in providing gemstone and jewelry professionals services and education to enhance members’ success. We are proud to partner with AGTA to offer members a resource to help make purchases more affordable for consumers considering a gemstone purchase."
According to consumer research, customers who possess a branded credit card buy more from that store than they would with a traditional bank credit card. GE Money provides AGTA members with tools that help incorporate this type of financing into jewelry sales and jewelry marketing initiatives. Association members can make use of GE Money's online training resource center to learn more about the benefits of financing, how to use GE Money's financing products, and how to sell with financing. GE Money’s marketing toolkit is an online service that enables members to promote financing offers through targeted direct mail campaigns.
GE Money's Luxury Card provides consumers with attractive credit promotions, including deferred interest and no interest options that simplify payments for jewelry purchases.
GE Money noted that it will provide a "Build the Bridge: Preparing your Business for the Future" seminar at the AGTA Gem Fair in February to order to demonstrate how this type of financing can help businesses stay competitive.
