With a view to supporting and encouraging the development of high-tech enterprises, a new round of nationwide designation of High and New Technology Enterprises was launched in 2008. And Supower was among the very few companies in China’s super-abrasives industry who received the re-designation.

This official designation is supervised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation (SAT). This round of designation was guided at much more rigid requirements than usual, thus only a small percentage of previously designated High and New Tech Enterprises passed the re-designation. The percentage of re-designation in Beijing is ten percent.
