Mining Weekly reports that the CEO of the Swedish mining group, International Gold Exploration (IGE), Tomas Felbom, has stated that he expects the company’s joint venture in Angola - the Luxinge alluvial diamond project - to start contributing to company revenues shortly.
Felbom announced that the diamond mining group had received confirmation from its joint venture partner, Angolan State diamond company Endiama’s president Antonio Carlos Sumbula, that the former had fulfilled its obligations to Endiama.
Felbom stated: “IGE is fully compliant with all obligations according to the contract…This means that we are able to move forward towards the commercialization of alluvial diamonds in this promising project.”
