Tangshan Steel turns into Hebei Iron and Steel

The name of Tangshan Iron and Steel Co Ltd (Tangshan Steel) now publicly traded on the mainland stock markets will be changed into Hebei Iron and Steel after the company completes a share-swap deal that will see its registered capital increasing from 3.63 billion yuan to 6.88 billion yuan. After the change of its name, still depending on further notice, the company will set up three branches in Tangshan, Handan and Chengde. Tangshan Steel is still in the process to absorb shares of Handan Iron and Steel and Chengde Vanadium and Titanium, which have terminated their trading since December 29, 2009.
