Despite a poor external climate, Ansteel managed to produce 20.51 million tons of pig iron, 20.17 million tons of crude steel and 19.00 million tons of steel products in 2009. Ten months after its debut, Ansteel Baiyuquan Steel New Space project reached its full capacity of five million tons per year, contributing to the group’s breaking the 20-million-ton mark.
