Baosteel, which usually announces its pricing policy on 12th of every month, has decided to do it possibly on January 14-15 for fears of previous criticism. On January 12, the mill merely announced a 200 yuan to 300 yuan rise for its special steel (steel cord and wire) for February shipment, without mentioning other products’ including sheet, pipe and silicon steel.
