Jiangsu-based Zenith plans to produce and sell 42 billion yuan worth of steel products in 2010 and eventually top 100 billion yuan in the future. In 2009 the non-government managed mill produced 3.77 million tons of pig iron, 5.11 million tons of steel, 5.01 million tons of rolling steel, generated 1,117 megawatts of electricity, created a production value of 35.3 billion yuan, had sales revenue of 35.05 billion yuan and a tax and profit of 1.3 billion yuan. It ranked 223rd among China’s top 500 enterprises, 19th among non-government run firms, 20th among the province’s top 100, and fifth among the province’s top 100 non-government enterprises.
