The Tahera Diamond Corp announced Monday that is it officially putting its Jericho Diamond Mine and all related assets up for sale, Canada's Winnipeg Free Press said.
The diamond mine's accompanying assets include a joint venture with De Beers on lands overlying the diamondiferous Muskox kimberlite complex, as well as a joint venture with Kennecott.
The Jericho diamond mine in Nunavut, Canada, became operational in 2007 and has so far produced more than 786,000 carats of gem quality diamonds.
Tahera Diamond suspended operations in the Jericho site in June 2008 due to financial and operating constraints and the mine was placed on care and maintenance.
