Transient dynamics analysis of specially structured diamond circular saw blade

Abstract A transient dynamic model of diamond circular saw blade with multi-holes core and different width segment was built in this work. Based on ANSYS software,the transient response of saw blade was calculated,and effects of different cutting parameters on the transient stress and deformation of saw blade's key positions were found.The analysis results indicated that the chief influence factor of transient response is feed rate.the cutting speed takes the second place,and the depth of cut is the last. Compared with the conventional struc-tured saw blade,the special structured saw blade showed improvements in stress and deformation.The analysis has some guiding significance for actual application and further optimization of saw blade structure.
