MARBLE 2010-Set to Better Over the Last Show

IZFAS, the organiser of MARBLE fair since 1995, is happy to organise MARBLE 2010, the 16th edition of the fair scheduled to take place from March 24 C 27, 2010 at Izmir Fair Complex, Izmir, Turkey.
Some business authorities consider MARBLE 2010 as the best stone business meeting place and regard it as the 2nd biggest stone exhibition in the sector. Its 15th edition held in 2009 has registered a great success. In view of the impact of recession on world economy, the presence of 1,112 exhibitors and 51,560 visitors is considered as a big accomplishment. Starting in 1995 with just 47 exhibitors and 4,719 visitors, MARBLE fair has been showing amazing growth pattern on both the fronts. In its 15th edition held in 2009 it attracted 1,112 exhibitors and 51,560 visitors. In 2008 edition of the fair the figures were 1,097 and 51,336 respectively.
This indicates unique characteristic of fair, which seemed least affected by the prevailing recession all over the world. Of course this is because of the potential of the Turkish stone industry. Marble is one sector in Turkey, which managed to increase its exports by 25 per cent every year in the last five years and expected to continue increasing in the years to come. The average development rate in the world marble sector is 13 per cent while development in Turkish marble sector is 24 per cent.
Turkish marble industry promises a profitable future for not only national but also international investors, and this is why MARBLE 2010 is your destination to reap rich in the growing market. The estimated natural stone reserves of Turkey is 14 billion tonnes and the present revenue of the export of natural stone is US $ 1.5 billion.
