Abstract The surface treatment technology on diamond and cubic boron nitride grits and their applications are introduced in this paper.The techniques include the vacuum slow vapor deposition(VSVD)technology and its development,the special deposition technology based on VSVD for micro-powders and its application,the composite Ti-Ni coating based on Ti-coated technology and its application,diamond grits coated with corundum micron powders and the application as well as Si-coated or Ti coated superhard grits, micro powders and nano-sized powders based on atomic laver deposition.
