Research on small diameter diamond saw-blade for Dry-cutting granite

Abstract Pre-alloyed powder HF1/HF2 andHF3 were used to make matrix of diamond saw blade.Eight different kinds of matrix formulas were designed for dry cutting experiment of granite.Rational ranges of diamond parameter in some pre.alloyed powder matrixes were discussed,and the effect of pre.alloyed powder matrix on the saw.blades for dry.cutting was analyzed in the paper.The research results showed that iron and copper pre.alloyed powder can generate metallurgical bonding with diamond grits,thus improve the holding ability to diamonds.When dry cutting,diamond can be used well and effectively.The same diamond saw blade was used to do the contrast test under dry and wet conditions.The results� showed that,� for small diameter diamond saw blade,the life is longer in the dry-cutting than wet thus can improve the value in use obviously.
