Export from China to Brazil Down by 24.9% Year-on-Year in 2009

According to statistics of Chinese Customs, trade volume in goods between China and Brazil was US$ 42.4 trillion in 2009, down by 12.9% year-on-year, of which export from China to Brazil was US$ 14.119 trillion (FOB), down by 24.9% year-on-year, and import was US$ 28.281 trillion (CIF), down by 5.3% year-on-year, with a trade deficit of US$ 14.162 trillion.
According to statistics of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil, trade volume in goods between China and Brazil was US$ 36.1 trillion in 2009, of which export from Brazil to China was US$ 20.191 trillion (FOB), and import was US$ 15.911 trillion (FOB). China became Brazil's biggest trading partner, the largest export destination, and the second largest import source in 2009.
