Benxi Steel has laid out energy saving targets this year: limit the consumption of standard coal to 709 kg per ton, save 200,000 tons of standard coal in 2010, limit the consumption of new water to 4.3 tons, self-generate more than 1.78 million megawatts of electricity, restrict overall coke ratio to 510 kg per ton, charged coke ratio to 350 kg per ton, energy consumption at the converter plant to minus 1.5 kg per ton, gas elution rate to 8 percent, and recycle more than 75 cubic meters of gas per ton.
