Abstract Based on the study about interfacial wetting and bonding principle, this research work searched for a materials mixing technique that may ameliorate the adhesion interaction between abrasive grits and resin bond, and improve the surface-interface energy and grinding ability of the grinding wheels made by means of different mixing techniques. Grinding wheels were prepared and tested for their cutting performances.Orthogonal and variance analysis on the wheels'cutting performances and their influencing factors showed that vacuumizing is the most significant factor.Heating and vacuumizing can ameliorate the surface-interface energy of abrasive grits and resin bond and improve the bonding performance, thus improve the cutting performances of the grinding wheels.
