Zhang Liangchi who is physical professor of New South Wales University, an emeritus professor of University of Sydney, academician of Federation Engineering Institute visited Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding and gave an academic lecture of Research Activities in Laboratory for Precision & Nano Processing Technologies on the afternoon of Feb. 2nd.

Professor Zhang made a detailed introduction to the achievements and application of precision & nano processing. He paid attention on theory and experiments and combined basic research to application. The applications are as follows: plastic lenses, bioelectric signal receiver, energy absorption equipment, PCD, diamond grinding, automobiles cover, medical apparatus, aeronautical materials, etc. Many achievements have industrialized and get great economic results. The lecture aroused everyone’s interest and brought a lively discussion.

There are more than ten researchers attending the lecture, such as the director of Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding Zhu Feng, deputy director Liu Mingyao, the secretary-general of superhard material association Li Zhihong. Further strengthening cooperation in scientific and technological fields are needed.
