Sino-Germany Invests RMB3b in Jiangyin Jiangsu Province to Construct Model Low-Carbon City

The project of Jiangyin Lingang Xintiandi model low-carbon city to be jointly constructed by China and Germany was recently signed, with total investment of roughly RMB3b, which will kick off construction in March. The greenhouse gas emission will decline 50% compared with the present upon the completion.
The model city, acting as Jiangyin's first model low-carbon project of international community, is jointly invested to be constructed by China and Europe Energy New Technology (Shanghai) Cooperation Development Center Corporation under German LIoyd Engineering Holdings and China Enterprise Company Limited. German green architecture certification body DEKRA will provide technical support for the project, with the criterion for the architectures in the model zone as the requirements for German energy conservation.
