China Stone Association, the organizer of STONETECH Shanghai, in corporation with Shanghai Architects Association and local entrepreneurs, held a meeting “New-generation Synthetic Stone Presentation & Application Seminar” recently.



Shanghai has no background of natural stone exploiting. The successful development and application of synthetic stone by Jieyun Stone Co. Ltd, filled the vacancy of Shanghai “native stone”. It plays active role in restraining endless exploiting of natural stone, protecting natural ecology resources as well as developing recycling economy. The synthetic stone of new generation offers one more choice for low-carbon homes building.



Shanghai Jieyun Stone Co. Ltd is a large modern and high-tech synthetic stone enterprise, invested by Shanghai Cantan Stone Group with more than 50 million RMB in 2006. It has a 47000-square-meter factory in Huating Town, Baoshan District, equipped with advanced machines from Italy. Annual output of standard-quality synthetic stone products is over 1 million square meters at present. This kind of stone has strong abrasion resistance, compressive resistance, impact resistance and fire-resistance, widely used in large-scale shopping malls, luxury commercial buildings, commercial residential buildings, subways, cinemas and so on.



Mr. Shi, principal for Jieyun synthetic stone project, pointed out that the new-generation synthetic stone has already overcome the shortcomings of terrazzo in all respects. It also improved the mixing process for raw materials and the "Four-resistance" prospects, particularly in Slip Resistance and Glossiness.
