In 2009, Handan Steel produced 9.98 million tons of pig iron, up 61 percent; 9.56 million tons of steel, up 57 percent; and 8.91 million tons of steel produces, up 58 percent, and had sales revenue of 43.2 billion yuan. The mill plans to produce 10 million tons of steel and pig iron, generate sales revenue of 50 billion yuan and a profit of 600 million yuan this year.
