Chile Export to China in January Rose 135% Year-on-Year

Chile Financial Daily reported on February 19 that based on the statistics of Chile Customs, in January Chile export totally reached USD5.730b, up 48% year-on-year, for which the main reason is the dramatic growth of export of minerals, with the mineral export standing at USD3.62b, accounting for 63% of the total, and twice more from the same period last year. Chile export to China amounted to USD1.323b, up 135% year-on-year, accounting for 23.1% of the total. Consequently, China continues to be Chile's largest export market, and export of Chile to its second largest export market-the US was USD859m, up 7.8% year-on-year.
